Dear friends and family,

My heart is so full after this past week at Hume SoCal summer camp. We had such a sweet time with our youth group, getting to simply enjoy fellowship and community together. It was a gift to spend time in the Word, encourage one another, and grow closer as a church family. We also had so much fun together—playing, laughing, being outside, and getting to glorify God through the simple joy of play. I’m leaving the week feeling deeply reminded of the faithfulness of Jesus and how He continues to show up in ways that are far beyond what I could do on my own.

When I sent out my last update, I was 29% fundraised. That same night, I checked my fundraising dashboard and discovered that I had jumped all the way to 54%! Praise God! It was such a sweet and tangible reminder that He is providing every step of the way.

While I was at camp, I also had the opportunity to share with the other counselors about my upcoming trip. One of the counselors had actually been on the World Race—and on the exact trip I am about to go on! I got to hear about his experience in Africa, ask questions, and get a much better picture of what these next three months might look like. It was such an unexpected and encouraging gift from the Lord.

After this past week, along with some really sweet conversations at church yesterday, I am now 64% fundraised! I am so grateful. I know that the Lord will be faithful in this, and He is continuing to remind me and show me just how faithful He is.

Over the next two weeks, I’ll be continuing the process of moving out of my place in Whittier, meeting with people to share about the trip and invite them to partner with me, and soaking up the last bit of summer with the sweet community that has held me so well over these past four years.

I am forever grateful for the abundant blessing and favor the Lord has poured out on my life. Thank you for being part of this journey with me, whether through prayer, encouragement, sharing my fundraiser, or financial support.

Please continue to share my fundraising link with anyone who comes to mind, and pray for me as I prepare to leave—that I would remain faithful in the Word and in prayer and continue to draw near to Jesus as I move toward this new season of ministry.

He is faithful.
