Dear friends and family,
Here is this week’s update as I continue preparing for the World Race and this upcoming season of ministry. Thank you so much to everyone who has been praying for, encouraging, and supporting me over the past few weeks. Your kindness and generosity have meant more than I can fully express.
As I prepare for this journey, I have officially begun partnership training through World Race and have been working closely with my advisor as I learn how to better share about this trip and invite others into what God is doing. This process has included watching training videos, taking notes, and preparing for future conversations as I learn how to communicate the vision and heart behind this mission clearly and confidently.
Over the next few weeks, I look forward to beginning conversations with individuals and couples to share more about this ministry and what it could look like to partner with me in fulfilling the Great Commission — “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). Keep an eye out for an opportunity to schedule a meeting with me so you can learn more about the trip, the mission of World Race, and how God is leading me into this next season.
Partnership can look like many different things — intentionally praying, helping with practical needs, offering encouragement, or financially giving. I would truly appreciate your prayers as I continue preparing, and I also ask that you would prayerfully consider whether God may be calling you to partner with me in this ministry.
This season has already been teaching me so much about dependence on the Lord, trusting Him with the unknowns, and stepping forward in faith even when things feel uncomfortable.
At the same time, I am also wrapping up my first year of teaching, which has brought a lot of emotions with it. We officially have just two weeks left of school, and we recently finished state testing. On Thursday, I shared with my scholars that I will be leaving to pursue missions work this fall, and it was a very bittersweet moment. There were definitely some tears — including on my part. This group of scholars has impacted me deeply, and it has been such a gift to walk alongside them this year.
As we finish out the school year, I would especially appreciate prayer:
-
for strength and endurance as I work through report cards and end-of-year responsibilities
-
that these final weeks with my scholars would be joyful, meaningful, and memorable
-
for wisdom as I continue preparing spiritually, emotionally, and practically for the World Race
-
that God would continue providing financially and opening doors for partnership
-
that I would continue growing in trust and dependence on Him throughout this season
Thank you again for being part of this journey with me. I am incredibly grateful for every prayer, message, conversation, and act of support. It is such a gift to have people walking alongside me as I step into this next season of ministry.
With love and gratitude,
Hannah Mahony
